Monochromatic Streetwear: Brashy Studios Spring/Summer 2018 Collection

Black and white and read all over it’s Brashy Studios’ S/S 18’ collection and it’s all monochrome. The collection showcases elevated streetwear that’s heavily influenced by men’s casual and skatewear with heavy branding and printed racing graphics. The lookbook hits on a lot of menswear staples including oversized hoodies, long sleeves, and even a more traditional waistcoat making this a very wearable collection. A definite standout in the lookbook is the ruched black pant and jacket duo because of the unique use for what is typically seen as windbreaker material. It’s matte finish is eye-catching and the texture of the material, having been ruching in fairly unusual places on the garment,  is accentuated creating an interesting silhouette that is also reminiscent of 90’s track pants. The collection as whole is modern, sleek, and super wearable while still being interesting. It’s a perfect collection for someone who wants to embody that streetwear chic and sexy vibe that is very connected to high fashion today.
